Kevin Williamson (dos filmes Pânico, Eu Sei O Que Vocês Fizeram No Verão Passado) criou esse drama envolvente que conta a história de um grupo de amigos passando da adolescência para a vida adulta na pequena cidade litorânea de Capeside, Massachusetts.

Baseado nas experiências de adolescência do próprio Williamson, “Dawson´s Creek” é focado nos adolescentes Dawson (James Van Der Beek) e Joey (Katie Holmes), amigos desde os cinco anos de idade, e que agora terão que enfrentar as mudanças que ocorrem em suas amizades, devido às transformações hormonais típicas da adolescência.

O amigo Pacey (Joshua Jackson) e a nova garota na cidade, Jen (Michelle Williams) adicionam mais emoções nesse drama repleto de confusões. Filmado em Wilmington, Durham e Raleigh na Carolina do Norte, a primeira temporada marca o começo de uma jornada inesquecível, destacando as agonias e encantamentos dos adolescentes.
